Maple
Maple trees grow to a height of 33 to 148 ft. Most species are deciduous, and many are renowned for their autumn leaf color. Sapwood color ranges from almost pure white to a warm off‑white cream, sometimes tinged with subtle golden or rosy highlights. The heartwood deepens to a rich, reddish‑brown hue. Its grain is usually fine and even, yet hard maple can surprise with dramatic curly or quilted figures—famously known as birdseye maple—adding unique ripples of texture and light to every piece.
