Cherry

Cherry trees grow to heights of 50-100 feet with diameters of 1-1/2 to 5 feet. Young trees have a straight trunk and symmetrical conical crown, becoming rounded to irregular as the trees age.  Pennsylvania Cherry is considered to be one of the finest North American hardwoods.   Renowned for both its beauty and exceptional workability, this wood undergoes a dramatic transformation in sunlight: within days, the freshly cut heartwood deepens to a warm reddish‑brown, while the sapwood stays its pale, creamy self. When sanded and finished, each piece takes on a luminous color that perfectly showcases the rich contrast and fine grain
